Livestock / Farm Hand

Are you an experienced Livestock Farm Hand seeking Full-Time employment near the township of Hillston NSW.

Customised Farm Management (CFM) is an independent agricultural asset management company offering highly innovative management services. We manage a number of corporate scale agricultural assets across Queensland, New South Wales & Northern Territory, with a broad spectrum of cropping activities from irrigated summer crops to winter dryland cereal cropping and livestock. CFM has been at the forefront, developing skilled people in permanent crop developments leading the step change in this industry class with developments encompassing Citrus, Kiwifruit, Almond & Pistachio's.


The Role

We are looking for a Livestock Farm Hand to join the team at Merrowie who will support the Livestock Manager.

Merrowie is a 33,000Ha property located 18kms from Hillston NSW. The property consists of 11,000Ha arable farming land, 7,000Ha of irrigation country and 22,000Ha of grazing country. The livestock operation consists of 6,500 head of Merino sheep and 130 head of Angus cattle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Livestock Manager to ensure all activities are completed according to schedule.
  • Mustering, loading and unloading.
  • Monitoring and reporting on animal health.
  • Operate farm machinery.
  • Perform a variety of general farm duties, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the operation.

What we need from You:

  • A deep passion for the Agricultural Industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years livestock farm hand experience (sheep and cattle desirable).
  • The ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong communication skill with mature outlook on life.
  • Current drivers licence.
